Unveiling an exciting blu26 season 2020
After the sailing season is before the season! Happy announcement: the next edition of the blu26 Swiss Championship is confirmed and we look forward to welcoming the teams next year in St. Moritz - a favorite destination for so many!
But let’s start from the beginning. Aside of this good news, we look forward to kicking off the season 2020 with the popular regatta training from April 2 to 5 at Lake Garda, in midst of great winds and a first smell of spring. The camp will again be led by Christian ‘Blumi’ Scherrer and Stefan Eder and is open to everyone, blu26 habitués as well as newcomers. This time and as a premiere, the camp will be wrapped up by the first blu26 Cup of the season. Next, the modern Yacht Club Zug opens its unparalleled facilities to welcome the class for the blu26 Cup May 9 to 10. Thereafter, before the summer break, GoSail invites the blu26 family to join the European Open from May 30 to June 1 in the Middelfart bay in Denmark. An amazing spot for sailing, with guaranteed winds. Don't miss a good scoop of “hygge” at “Pinsen” (Pentecost)!
After the summer break it’s time to subscribe to the blu26 Swiss Championship in St. Moritz, taking place August 21 to 23. Remember, to qualify, any team must have participated in at least one of the previous events (Garda, Zug, and/or Middelfart). The season’s disclosed highlight for many may be Tegernsee. The combo of a charming lake, generally great sailing conditions, and the warm Bavarian hospitality remains unmatched, certainly again so next year September 19 to 20. But nothing is like home and the blu26 class follows the tradition to close the season on Lake Zurich October 3 to 4.
A dream for a team: the rookie initiative is project that the blu26 class pilots in 2020, aiming at sponsoring a young sailing team and enabling them to join the full blu26 season 2020. Stay tuned!
