The teams simmered with excitement towards the Blu26 Cup Zurich / Autumn Price. A hot end of the season and Bluboats Cup Final 2016: Team Hazel and team Giachen Duas were apart only one point for the lead of the series.
According to tradition, most of the teams got together as early as Friday evening – after a training session in the afternoon – at the Bräustüberl in Tegernsee for at least one beer and a typical Bavarian dinner. Dressed in lederhosen, dirndls, and a good mood, the beginning of this year’s Bavaria Cup and Oktoberfest were celebrated extensively.
The Blu26 Swiss Championship, part of the 5th Fleet Race Battle Engadin in St. Moritz, welcomed teams from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Montenegro. The Sailing Club St. Moritz hosted the regatta in its 75th anniversary from the 2nd to the 4th September. In addition to the Club’s anniversary, two premieres were celebrated.

Great sailing conditions on a gray, mostly dry weekend. Ten teams had registered for this year's Blu26 Cup Romanshorn. The weather forecasts in advance were so-so to very bad. Then, on Saturday, the weather was very changeable.
After the regatta training on Lake Garda and the Blu26 Race in Montenegro, the Bluboats Cup 2016 was launched in Zug last weekend. Already on Friday afternoon the first boats were put in the water and the team made themselves ready for the first race of the Blu26 series.
After an intense training camp at Lake Garda in April, the blu26 class kicked off its fleet racing season 2016 last weekend in Montenegro – a unique sailing destination. In a tough fight to the last breath, consisting of 19 races, the final classification saw team Hazel in the first place, local team Angelo Rosso as second, and team Blu ZuZu third. Sportsmanship and hard work prevailed in all teams, as is usual for the class.
In the early Wednesday afternoon, the first crews arrived at the Lake Garda and prepared their blu26s for the training. The Lake Garda welcomed the sailors with warm but foggy weather.
